Floater Store Manager (Project Management)
Cross trained, transferred, and/or expected to provide additional or back up support as needed in other areas, departments, or retail locations as needed
Completes administrative tasks which include; assisting in recommendations and disciplinary actions, completion of performance logs, and performance evaluations, accurate reporting for sales, productivity, and inventory, opening and closing procedures as alarm code and key holder, and cash management.
Assists with staffing positions with quality and productive employees
Assists with new employees being oriented and trained on all required work processes, procedures, and expected standards of performance
Assists team members in goal setting and skills development
Provides feedback on performance and attendance, addresses concerns, and administers performance discussions as needed
Organizes and directs the activities of team members
Provides a clean, fun, and safe environment for employees and customers
Orders inventory, conducts inventory audits, and manages inventory shrinkage for any new, purchased items (not donated items) as needed
Merchandises and maintains retail floor and displays
Provides maximum level of customer service to ensure repeat sales
Maintains effective communication with support staff
Provides work leadership on assigned shifts
Advises leadership team on significant variances and specific action plans to improve performance
Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
High School diploma/GED or equivalent supervisory or management experience
3-5 years of experience in outside sales in a supervisory or management capacity
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills to interact with all levels of management, employees, consumers, and the public; professional presentation.
Strategic innovative analytical thinking, solid judgement, and deductive reasoning skills
Proficient PC skills including experience with Microsoft applications, and comfort in navigating the internet and learning other software
Ability to smell odors, visualize, and feel greasy or unusual textures (stains, discoloration, flaws, tears, missing or broken pieces)
Ability to obtain certification for forklift and/or pallet jack operation
Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and Holidays
Valid driver's license and automobile liability insurance
Reliable form of transportation
Must be able to pass a background and drug screen
Able to perform functions with or without special accommodation

Thrift retail and warehouse environment
May be exposed to dust, debris, animal hair, and any number of allergens
Items donated may be textile, glass wares, electronics, books, media, furniture, plastics or any variation.
Consistently moderate noise level
Tolerance of extreme changes in temperature and humidity
Physical requirements
Lifting and carrying up to 40lbs without assistance/ up to 100lbs with assistance
Developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers)
Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stopping, squatting, pushing; climbing ladders; standing for long periods of time
Able to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain)
