Drive a culture of process control and variability reduction in the 19 manufacturing locations using lean six sigma concepts. Assess quality performance using statistical and analytical methods for estimating cost of quality. Facilitate and enhance the cost of quality concept across the organization. Develop and conduct experiments by applying concepts of design of experiments. Responsible for SPC system in SAP implementation including requirements gathering and analysis, Go-Live, post-production support and end-user documentation and training under multiple deadlines. Develop statistical process control strategy by applying and maintaining applicable control charts and reduce variation in the process. Prepare reports and make recommendations on process and quality data by analyzing them using hypothesis testing, normal distribution, process capability analysis tests, and other advanced statistical concepts for both parametric and non-parametric data. Publish and improve Quality Metrics Scorecard, quality dashboards, and process capability summary report. Develop sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods at the most economical cost. Devise sampling procedures and design/develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality data. Support and improve internal audit system to incorporate requirements associated with quality inspection systems. Review line low analysis to improve product quality and line efficiencies. Implement DMAIC to drive down quality defects and reduce operating costs. Implement an automated process data collection to allow process control of manufacturing equipment using SPC techniques. Lead efforts to validate equipment to meet operational and quality standards. Audit automatic quality inspection systems and drive toward standardization across all plants. 30% domestic and international travel to company's manufacturing sites
Master's degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering or Statistics + 1 year of experience to include use of control charts Advanced Quality Control, Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control tools implementation, and participation in DMAIC projects + Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
