In-Patient Night Supervisor Kansas City Hospice House - $3700 Sign On Bonus (Healthcare)
Responsible for coordinating and assuring a high standard of quality care consistent with each profession on the interdisciplinary team and the Facility Mission Statement.
Communicates agency information to Facility staff.
Facilitates communications and works effectively between Facility staff, patients/families/caregivers/physicians/vendors and other departments and professionals as appropriate.
Actively assists nursing staff in the provision of direct patient care.
Monitors documentation and implementation of the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual interventions for the patient/family/caregiver.
Assures appropriate staffing to meet the needs of the patients/families.
Assures implementation of and compliance with all policies and procedures, licensing and certification rules, regulations and guidelines.
Collaborates with the CAD to ensure financial management for the Facility including budget preparation, expense approvals, contracting issues as appropriate, and being responsive to all financial issues.
Collaborates with the Director of Quality & Regulatory Affairs to ensure licensing and Medicare certification, including all rules and regulations.
Collaborates with the IT Coordinator Department to ensure compliance with Health Information Management (HIM) and make suggestions for efficiency and improvements
Supervises all Facility staff and completes employee evaluations in a timely manner.
Provides input regarding contract services as appropriate.
Works with staff to ensure appropriate levels of care and supportive documentation.
Facilitates patient care and quality management activities by assuring staff participation and Facility representation on focus groups; follows up on surveys and grievances; performs medical record and utilization review audits.
Actively participates in Quality Management, Utilization Review, and Risk Management activities.
Actively participates in Interdisciplinary Group (IDT) meetings, staff meetings, department meetings, morning report, in-services, and other related activities
Presents to Director of Hospice Services and the Chief Operating Officer for improved efficiency and effectiveness of care and services.
Provides leadership and formal/informal education to staff through in-services, case conferences and group discussions on Hospice philosophy, operations, policy and procedures, and problem solving
Assists with Cubex oversight and ordering of medications, supplies and durable medical equipment
Participates in administrative call rotation.
Ensures a safe environment for patients, guests, visitors and employees.
Consistently represents the Facility to all internal and external customers with integrity, professionalism, and excellent customer service.
Maintains positive work relationships and contributes to at team environment
Demonstrating respectful and appropriate language and nonverbal behavior;
Actively seeking to resolve customer and co-worker conflict issues, problems and concerns in a timely manner; and demonstrates respect, courtesy and empathy to all individuals; patients, families,co-workers, physicians and volunteers.
