Systems Analyst II - Special Projects (Finance)
Location: 1900 Ridgefield Blvd, Asheville, NC 28806
The Systems Analyst II – Special Projects role is dedicated to complex, corporate-wide technology initiatives. This role works collaboratively with various project stakeholders to facilitate the successful design, development, and implementation of new technology systems and processes.
Specific Job Functions
The primary role of the Systems Analyst II – Special Projects is to support the implementation and rollout of new systems as assigned.
Understands business issues and opportunities in the context of user requirements and software capabilities in order to recommend and justify application modifications that enable the appropriate group to achieve its goals. Applies this knowledge to automate processes or to improve existing system flow.
Determines feasibility of internal enhancement requests against software documentation and vendor assistance.
Understands the impact of regulatory changes projects.
Properly documents system changes as required by applicable laws and regulations.
Communicate updates/enhancements and work directly with stakeholders to resolve system issues or submit enhancement requests.
Coordinate quality assurance testing of new releases prior to implementation to production system.
Serves as contact for management on all system related problems, questions, suggestions/enhancements, and troubleshooting requests.
Serves as the liaison between end users, vendors, and internal IT staff to identify problems, suggest changes, and clarify user specifications.
Analyzes and revises existing internal system documentation as necessary.
Promotes the growth and prosperity of the Bank by professionally serving the needs of internal and external customers.
May assist in training.
May spend time at off-site at locations.
Performs other duties as requested.
Knowledge/Skills Required
The ideal candidate will be able to think analytically and conceptually, and possess superior organizational skills, self-review skills, written/verbal communication skills, customer service skills, and time management skills.
Candidates must also be highly self-motivated, detail oriented, and possess an intellectual curiosity for learning new systems.
The ability to successfully apply research methods into system issues and software capabilities is critical.

Job Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in business or computer information systems with a focus on system analysis and/or project management. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Extensive experience in analysis and problem resolution.
Familiarity with quality assurance/quality control, system testing methodologies, project management and business documentation concepts is required.
Experience with core software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint is essential.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
