Sr Environmental Engineer (Biotech)

SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION:
Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC) Pacific Environmental Support: AFCEC's Pacific environmental operations requires a core cadre of personnel with the skills and experience needed to provide on-site and off-site environmental review, assessment and compliance services to support environmental operations.
Strategic Development, Planning and Implementation Support: ANSER is seeking qualified candidates with the knowledge and experience to provide technical support for environmental compliance on behalf of AFCEC/CFPE for the water quality; toxics; pollution prevention; fuel, POL and tanks; integrated solid waste; and hazardous material and waste programs. Duties include:
Technical Review: Provide technical reviews of non-A&AS deliverables to the Pacific RSB on the following environmental compliance programs: water quality; toxics; pollution prevention; fuel, POL and tanks; integrated solid waste; and hazardous material and waste programs.
Data Submission: Work with base and AFCEC personnel to gather, review and submit technical data in support of the Pacific RSB water quality; toxics; pollution prevention; fuel, POL and tanks; integrated solid waste; and hazardous material and waste programs.
Compliance Assessment: Support inspections of installation compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and rules. In particular, the Contractor will support Unit Effectiveness Inspections (UEIs) and Continuous Evaluation Tool (CET) assessments by participating as SMEs.
Meeting Support: Prepare and review technical documents, procedures, collaboration tools, risk evaluations, presentations, and meeting documentation and distribute and file accordingly
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Must have completed the AF Institute of Technology Environmental Management Systems Auditing Course (WENV-350), or have prior auditing experience
Demonstrated experience and knowledge to provide technical environmental reviews and environmental compliance inspections, and make recommendations for improvements or address deficiencies
Strong interpersonal/social skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
EDUCATION & YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience
Location: Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI
