Reporting to the HSE Program Director, the HSE Instructor is responsible for the High School Equivalency (HSE) tutoring program and providing tutorial services for students seeking their HSE at American Career College. The incumbent evaluates, plans and establishes individualized study strategies and HSE curriculum for the student as an aid in the learning and comprehension of course material.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in related field required.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE One (1) year of previous relevant tutoring experience required.
Two (2) to three (3) years of previous experience in teaching (blended learning), training, counseling, or testing environment preferred.
Knowledgeable of local, State and Federal HSE regulations and testing procedures.
Knowledge of General Education curriculum (high school). Knowledge of basic arithmetic and proper English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure.
Knowledge of various data management systems (i.e., Campus Vue, CRM, McGraw Hill).
Knowledge of test administration procedures.
Experience with MS Office.
