SUMMARY
Responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial planning schedules for the monthly, quarterly and annual planning cycles, providing support for month-end close processes, periodic report preparation, and ad hoc analysis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the preparation and analysis of the Monthly President's Operating Report (POR), including:
• Preparation of POR files in advance on monthly close cycle
• Consolidation of PORs from 10+ reporting units
• Publishing monthly internal POR reports
• Summarizing and analyzing deltas versus prior expected, prior year and forecast
• Analyzing currency impacts (~40% of business unit sales are non-U.S.)
• Product line mix reporting and analysis
• Loading monthly POR into HFM
Assist in the preparation and analysis of:
• Quarterly President's Council exhibits and presentations
• Annual Profit Review and Financial Review exhibits and presentations
• Various schedules as requested for Board Meetings, Planning Conference, and other meetings
Other Responsibilities:
• Prepare month-end actual vs plan reporting and delta explanation
• Prepare periodic sales/orders/backlog reporting
• Collect and consolidate financial data/reporting from multiple units
• Ad hoc reporting as needed
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.S.B.A.) or equivalent required. Two to four years related experience and/or training.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and analyses. Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) with Business Unit and Corporate financial management.
Experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
