Sales Support Associate- Group Insurance- United States Remote (Project Management)
Responsible for supporting Equitable's Employee Benefits Sales Executive (SE) team, including Life, Disability, Dental and Vision products. Coordinates the request for proposals (RFP) intake process for all sales activity and review RFP for data requirements and work directly with internal sales, external brokers and general agents for missing information, clarifications, etc. This position will also support Field Service.
Fundamental Components:
• Set up sales opportunities utilizing the Quote & Proposal Tool and SalesForce, save all RFP materials to the SharePoint Site and prepare RFP for submission to underwriting/rating Team for all case sizes ensuring all necessary information has been provided.
• Reviews incoming requests for strategic and capabilities match.
• Work with Sales Executives for 100 life RFP's to complete presale memo and strategy documents for submission to underwriting.
• Provisioning Requests and Licensing and Appointment paperwork delivery on new brokers to Equitable.
• Coordination of requote requests between broker, SE and Rating Team/Underwriter.
• Provide administrative support to SE and RVP team (kits, enrollments, benefit summaries).
• Cultivate critical relationships (field sales/service, broker/consultant community/customer teams, local market and operations).
• Assist in assessment of customer needs and expectations vs. capabilities/strategy.
• Assist in development of new business sales strategies.
• Develop and deliver proposal - may include some or all of the following: review proposals for accuracy, coordinate responses from all resources in support of proposal delivery, coordinate and or complete case underwriting and pricing components.
• Post-sale activities to include the following: confirm and initiate sold case notification utilizing the sold case notification feature in SalesForce. Ensure licensing and appointment requirements are met, and appropriate plan designs are marked sold for assignment to implementation team.Minimum Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of experience with Group Insurance Underwriting, Sales, Support or Service
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Life/Disability/Dental/Vision product portfolio preferred
• General Business/Applying Independent Judgment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities in a team environment
