Executive Director for Off-Campus Learning and Academic Partnerships directs the academic, strategic, entrepreneurial, operational, and financial activities for the campuses of UHD located downtown, including 1801 Main Street, and sites not located in the downtown area (Lone Star University Park, Kingwood, Cy-Fair, Aldine/LSC Early College Partnerships, San Jacinto North, and potentially others).
Duties and Responsibilities
Academic, Strategic, and Entrepreneurial Leadership
Provides visionary and strategic leadership for the off-campus instructional sites of the University of Houston-Downtown to maximize growth, program development, and student success
Develops new ideas, partnerships, programs, or other initiatives, with an entrepreneurial mindset, to grow enrollment at current and potential off-campus instructional sites
Collaborates with UHD Deans and the Corporate and Foundation Relations team to strategically work together to develop new and existing partnerships with downtown businesses and corporations
Responsible for the Aldine/Lone Sar College partnership with UHD via a MOU to establish 2+2 programming for their Early College graduates as well as establishing other 2 +2 programming and partnerships
Ensures that all off-campus instructional sites meet SACSCOC standards
Directs the coordination of the academic programs at off-campus instructional sites, which includes, but is not limited to, staffing and scheduling
Partners with the UHD Honors program at UHD to connect with community college honors programs in an effort to recruit them to join the Honors program at UHD and complete their baccalaureate degree
Explore program offerings at 1801 Main and other off-campus instructional sites
Provides consultation and expertise for off-campus instructional sites' instructional program development, support services, and marketing
Works collaboratively with the academic leadership at UHD to coordinate academic programs at both the off-campus instructional sites and the UHD campuses
Sits on the Provost's Council and other shared governance bodies at UHD as appropriate
Managerial and Operational Leadership
Develops and strengthens partnerships with community colleges, downtown partners, corporations, other institutions, and community groups to support the on campus and off-campus instructional sites' success
Plans, oversees, and coordinates MOUs with community colleges or other educational institutions, including but not limited to, articulation agreements
Develops and manages contracts between the leaders of the off-campus instructional sites campus buildings and UHD, including, but not limited to, lease agreements
Analyzes data and manages budgets effectively to promote growth and student success
Identifies needs and assists in development of professional development opportunities for faculty and staff
Collaborate with the Division of Student Success and Student Life for academic support services and student engagement programs and services at UHD Northwest, UHD CyFair, UHD @ 1801, and UHD Kingwood. This may include, but is not limited to accommodations, career services, student organizations, student counseling and wellbeing, and social programs and events
Collaborate with the UHD Office of the Dean of Students concerning the Student Code of Conduct and Gator Care Team
Collaborates with UHD's Office of Enrollment Management to recruit students to off-campus instructional sites as well as to UHD's main campus
Financial Leadership
Prepares and manages the budgets for the off-campus instructional sites
Analyzes enrollment trends and collaborates with faculty schedulers in a productive fashion to maximize in-person and online SCH production
Marginal Duties

Required Qualifications Required Education:
Master's level degree or higher
Required Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of academic leadership experience, at the director/department chair level or higher
License/Certification:
Must maintain a valid, current driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral level degree from a regionally accredited institution
Academic experience at the associate dean level or higher
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge:
Knowledge of budgets, personnel issues, CLERY ACT, contracts, purchasing, SACSCOC, and community college partnerships
Knowledge of university policies and procedures as they pertain to off site and online programs
Knowledge of the trends, issues, and accepted practices of managing off campus sites and online programs in higher education

Work Location and Physical Demands Primary Work Location:
Works in an office environment, classroom, training room, auditorium, and outdoor areas
Physical Demands:
Work is normally performed in a typical, comfortable interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements
Individual has discretion in relation to walking, standing etc., and has minimal exposure to physical risks
Work involves occasional exposure to elements, such as inclement weather and extreme temperatures
May, on rare occasions, be exposed to hazardous driving conditions
May, on rare occasions, be exposed to airborne particles or cancer- causing agents
Must have precise hand-eye coordination and good spatial awareness
Must have the ability to move items of up to 50lbs on rare occasions
