Thisposition will be responsible for leading projects and coordinating activitiesintended to maintain and improve the overall effectiveness of the Russellvillefacility's production flow and Supply chain. Will be involved with implementation of Lean initiatives. Will use a detailed understanding of theInformation Technology Systems to schedule raw materials, production process,report on activities, analyze situations, and develop improvement initiatives.
Developand implement programs, worksheets and reports to enhance and simplifymaterials management including planning and scheduling.
Formulatesand maintains materials software to support overall business strategies.
Coordinateslead times, capacity plans and inventory plans to mirror business needs whileworking closely with St. Louis Planning and Purchasing.
CoordinateEngineering change implementation with Supply base.
Initiateand / or coordinate material cost reduction implementation.
Managematerial planning / scheduling function for various raw material commodities.from supplier, inter-plant movement to customer and completing daily cyclecounts.
Maintain/ reconcile inventory and production records and reports to include adjustmentsfor sample products and consignment reconciliation.
Providessupport to production scheduling on all material flow issues to meet productionschedules and customer requirements while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Analyzesinventory levels, line rates and production speed and product demand todetermine reorder levels which will ensure product availability and minimizeinventory cost.
Forecast,release and track key material components.
Conferwith the Customer Services group to resolve issues affecting customer orders.
Performtasks and projects as assigned by Materials Manager.
Education
Minimumof Bachelor's degree in Materials Management or related discipline. APICS Certification preferred or willingnessto obtain APICS Certification.
Experience
Minimum of 5 year's experience in materials and extensiveuse of computers (including systems) in an environment requiring performance tostrict deadlines.
Mental Requirements
Positionrequires logic skills in regard to understanding, analyzing and interpretingdata; expertise in computer / Materials software. Communication skills are essential, as theposition requires daily interaction with Suppliers, Customers, Corporate andplant personnel. Ability to work under ahigh stress level and a good ability to work under pressure The position alsorequires excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in afast paced environment.
