What is a Pipe & Tubing Tools Product Manager?
The Product Manager is expected to lead critical elements such as: identifying new business opportunities, new product development, managing new product launches, market research, product lifecycle management, and product line forecasting. This role is located in our World HQ in Elyria (just a little west of Cleveland), Ohio USA.
What We're Looking For
The Product Manager will work in a dynamic team environment, alongside Engineering, Sales, IT, Operations and Marketing Communications. They will have a deep understanding of what it means to develop and grow a business in an exciting market. They will have a passion for product and emerging technologies. A strong bias for action and collaboration will ensure that programs are delivered on time and results are strong.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
• Conduct strategic marketing research.
• Develop plans that drive the growth of existing product lines through new product development, promotions, advertising, and competitive analysis.
• Build and apply product and customer knowledge to identify new product opportunities and specifications;
• Guide new product programs from conception through introduction with an ability to work across multiple disciplines.
• Develop and execute long-term category vision and forecast
• Prepare and present strategic planning presentations to senior management.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.. Additionally, ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:
• Academic focus in marketing, engineering or similar subject matter;
• 3-5 years in product management or equivalent business experience;
• Strong analytical, quantitative skills and financial acumen;
• Aptitude to quickly learn how to operate professional-grade tools, including the mechanical and electrical principles that underlie their design;
• Team-orientated
• Should be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently as well as with groups.
Bonus Skills
• Experience working on and managing Big Box Retail & Ecommerce channels, international projects, and/or project teams
• Competence with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Strong budget and project management skills
