Digital Marketing Director (Mid - Senior Level) (Project Management)



ERM is the world's largest pure play sustainability consultancy. To help strengthen our external profile and growth pipeline, we are seeking a Director of Marketing to join ERM's Global Digital Services Team.

Reporting into the Global Director of Digital Transformation, this role supports the delivery of ERM's Digital Services growth agenda. It involves collaborating with our Partners, Technical Sellers, and Account Directors to develop and implement integrated marketing and commercial plans across the business. Through internal communications and external market-facing activities, the goal is to create opportunities for deeper client engagement and new business, while clearly articulating ERM's value proposition.

As part of a global team, successful candidates will also align business priorities with key Marketing, Communication, and Service Leaders across ERM. You will need to be comfortable building trust and securing buy-in from senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Commercial, Partner and Client Leads to develop marketing plans, messaging and strategies that drive engagement, sales, and brand recognition. Present updates to the Digital Leadership Team.
  • Guide and drive a variety of marketing initiatives including conferences, industry memberships, sales materials, and insight/white paper development.
  • Liaise with external software vendors to execute marketing activities that promote our partnerships across ERM regions.
  • Influence the Partners and Sellers on which marketing activities to pursue through strategic and commercial alignment discussions. Measure the impact of campaigns using both qualitative and quantitative metrics.
  • Develop, track and manage the annual budget for marketing activities
  • Ensure compliance with company image, brand standards, approval levels, and guidelines in all client communications, pursuits, and collateral.
  • Provide high-level proposal support and guidance (case studies, standard corporate responses) for internal ERM teams on client pursuits. 
  • Coordinate and draft ERM's digital-focused responses to external rating and ranking agency questionnaires, liaising with our commercial and sales teams.
  • Manage and collate internal-facing presentations for ERM leadership teams.
  • Maintain internal SharePoint and Salesforce sites for the Digital Team, to share best practices, business updates and ensure collaboration across the team.
  • Provide positive input and ideas for process improvements from a marketing perspective.
  • Manage resource requirements through engagement with external agencies / contracting resources on an ad hoc basis.
  • Assist with other special projects/requests as needed.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in leading and implementing marketing & communications strategies, preferably within a professional services environment (or another relevant sector).
  • A self-starter who can coordinate and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision. Have the ability to adjust and refocus priorities based on company direction.
  • Experience with events planning, campaigns, initiatives, content development.
  • Experience with Salesforce or another equivalent CRM database.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and significant experience working with senior leadership teams.
  • Excellent project management skills to move initiatives forward on time and budget.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills with proven credentials and examples.
  • Strong knowledge and abilities to use multiple platforms and channels (including digital) for a range of audiences.
  • Fluent in Office Suite (PPT, Word, Excel).
  • Business travel may be required.
  • Curiosity & interest in commercial aspects of the business, such as digital systems, sustainability, climate change, low carbon, etc.
