Process Engineer (Architecture)

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer for our First Quality Retail Services, LLC located in King of Prussia, PA.
This position will be responsible for developing process settings; and analyzes and resolves unexpected process issues related to new products feature trials and new converting equipment rollouts. Regularly interfaces between manufacturing, R&D, quality, and marketing on new materials and manufacturing plants converting capabilities.
Primary responsibilities include:
Converting equipment, process documentation and process control method experience.
Develop, maintain and audit systems and procedures.
Coordinate product trials of new product designs and new converting equipment. Write trial plans; coordinate machine availability as needed for trials.Communicate trial plans with all parties involved.
Manage documentation and process information for vendors to manufacture to, and receiving plants to accept/reject materials related to new product features.Assist in validation efforts for new equipment and processes.
Communicate with R&D, quality, marketing and plants during product change initiatives.
Regular communications with converting plants to ensure new equipment and product designs are not hindering manufacturing converting process.
Apply process controls and training to minimize impact of new features on converting plants.
Initiate projects based upon new materials or equipment vendors have presented and trade show viewed opportunities that could lead to increased sales or reduced converting costs.
Write and submit capital expense requests as needed.Manage Capital dollars on projects under his/her control.Report capital spending by month, quarter and by year.
Assist in developing next year's capital plan for projects in his/her area.
Coordinate and communicate with others in the engineering group on project spending for projects managed by others.
Ability to effectively interact with machine operators, maintenance crews, and management.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Minimum 2 plus years' experience in a manufacturing converting operation of rolled goods/thin webs, paper converting or similar.
Converting equipment knowledge.Experience in Process documentation and process control methods.
Ability to effectively interact with machine operators, maintenance crews, and management.
Has physical ability to access converting area of manufacturing facilities.
