Tetra Tech AMT is looking for an Obstruction Evaluation Specialist
Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
Verification of Aeronautical Studies - The candidate will be responsible for applying experience and comprehensive knowledge applicable to aeronautical studies in accordance with Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR), Part 77 notice criteria for construction or alteration of certain structures in the National Airspace System (NAS) in the:
Review of construction proposals for completeness and accuracy.
Evaluation of effects of proposed construction on the navigable airspace
Cumulative effects of such proposals are analyzed to minimize the impact to aviation while balancing the need for construction
Coordination of aeronautical information within established channels of communication and relationships both within and outside the FAA to ensure expeditious receipt, effective processing, and issuance of time-critical NAS flight data
External Supplemental List - The candidate will coordinate actions related to the External Supplemental List including the processing of:
Administrative extension requests
Terminating aeronautical studies when a structure has been demolished
Processing FAA Form 7460-2, Part I and/or Part II notifications within the iOEAAA program
Handling of Paper Obstruction Evaluation Filings - The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with the project sponsor to either file have them file electronically or where appropriate input the data contained on the paper document into an electronic application
OE/AAA Customer Service - The candidate will assist first time obstruction evaluation filers through the process of filing an OE case using the external OE/AAA site
Respond to Non Rulemaking Airports (NRA) Cases - The candidate will conduct coordination with Airport Division specialists on issues found during NRA reviews (ex: incorrect airport data) along with providing the Obstruction Evaluation Group responses on NRA studies within iOEAAA program
Conduct Follow-Ups on Project Status Request (PSR) Letters - The candidate will process FAA Form 7460-2, Part I and/or Part II notifications and if necessary, as well as generating Termination letters for non-responses to PSR letters within iOEAAA program.
The successful candidate will provide Obstruction Evaluation Analyst Support Services to the Obstruction Evaluation group (AJV-15) within the Airspace Services Directorate at FAA Headquarters in Washington, DC
The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor degree or held an FAA certificate as an Air Traffic Controller, navigator or was qualified as a Navigator/Bombardier in military or held an FAA certificate as a dispatcher for an air carrier
Minimum 10 years' experience in a military or civilian air traffic facility or experience that included a comprehensive knowledge of appropriate air traffic control laws, rules, regulations, navigational aids, air routes
Successfully completed the FAA Basic Obstruction Evaluation Course.
Successfully completed at least two years of college work or demonstrate at least 5 years of experience working as an Obstruction Evaluation Specialist or Obstruction Evaluation Technician
The candidate must demonstrate at least 2 years of experience working as an Obstruction Evaluation Specialist or Obstruction Evaluation Technician
The candidate must demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR), Part 77 notice criteria for construction or alteration of certain structures in the National Airspace System (NAS) as it relates to the function of the Obstruction Evaluation Groups responsibilities for processing 14 CFR Part 77 applications
The candidate must demonstrate practical experience in the application of Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR), Part 77 notice criteria for construction or alteration of certain structures in the National Airspace System (NAS)
The candidate must demonstrate practical experience in the use of the iOEAAA system as it relates to the function of the Obstruction Evaluation Groups responsibilities for processing applications under 14 CFR Part 77
