The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance activities of water and wastewater plants. Responsibilities Responsible forplant process control, operation management and plant performance.Oversees process changes and make recommendations to maintain correctplant performance.Oversees East and West Side wastewater plant performance, with management provides plant operations teams with process changes and monitors laboratory and processresults to makes plant process decisionsEnsures all datais entered timely in Data Management System and reviews status withproject and company management. Ensures that all SOPs are followed.Ensures allLocal, State and Federal regulations are followed, creates monthly andannual State and Federal reports, ensures accurate data and timelysubmittalConducts sitevisits and communicates with maintenance group about maintenance, repairs,etc.Works with Plantmanagers to ensure staff management and cost controlAssessesoperational performance and implements continuous improvements.Other duties asassigned. Qualifications Education/Experience: BA/BS in related field preferred and 5-7 years water/wastewater experience. Two years previous supervisory experience required. Licenses/Certifications: valid CT Class IV Wastewater License required. Valid Drivers License Water/Wastewater Operators License specific to state and site specific requirements. Other licenses may vary according to specific site and assignments. Technical: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications & internet. Understanding of computerized Data Management Systems, experience with HACH WIMs preferred. Ability to work with basic office equipment & phone systems. Working knowledge of OSHA requirements, DOT regulations & Utility SOPs. Proficiency completing all regulatory documentation, reports and correspondence.
