Verify, identify and inspect incoming products, referring to purchase orders and shipping documents. Prepare receiving reports. Note and record shortages and damaged materials. Determine if incoming materials require inspection or testing and maintain lot traceable documentation. Use forklift or designated material handling equipment to transport materials to work or storage areas. Enter inventory transactions (in or out) directly into computer system. Monitor first in-first out control of inventory to production. Assemble orders for shipment (cross dock). Select packaging or shipping containers for materials not packed. Specify types of crates or skids. Use RF devices and print labels as necessary. While performing the duties of the job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and the noise level is occasionally loud.
