Employment Coordinator (Project Management)
Reports to the Workforce Development Manager
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
This position does not maintain any supervisory responsibilities
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION: Possession of bachelor's degree within human services industry preferred. Consideration given to internal candidates who have demonstrated competence in relevant experience
EXPERIENCE: Demonstrate history of training, case management, and/or employment development for persons with disabilities or other barriers to employment. Must demonstrate ability to administer 1:1 and small group curriculum. Previous experience working with federal and state regulated and funded programs, such as of the Division of Rehabilitation Services, is preferred
Current driver's license, clean driving record, adequate levels of vehicle insurance and personal vehicle. May require travel between both Frederick and Carroll Counties. Willingness and ability to drive both personal and company vehicles, including vans, as necessary
Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and drug testing
Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed
SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to obtain competence in ETO Software and other database software. Must demonstrate competence in using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint

Possess knowledge and/or desire to build experience of various human service populations such as, but not limited to transitioning youth, post-secondary and college students, persons with acquired and developmental disabilities, veterans, job seekers, persons with a history of addiction, adjudicated youth, persons with criminal backgrounds, elderly, etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide coordination of services for community clients and employees participating in Workforce Development services by:
Completing intake and orientation to employment services program for newly enrolled participants
Conducting initial and ongoing employment assessments for individuals to determine appropriate services, goals and individual plans
Assisting person served with developing and tracking progress for self-directed employment plans
Referring individuals in need of community resources such as personal and family supports, financial, employment, cognitive, behavioral and physical health, housing, acquisition of personal care items to appropriate partnering agencies
Tracking performance and progress of individuals participating in vocational services in ETO database in a timely manner
Providing one-on-one counseling to individuals regarding career planning and job search strategies
Providing job leads specific to individual interests as well as information for job fairs
Provide intense, direct services to funded program participants by:
Providing training and supports to persons enrolled in career development courses in 1:1 and small group settings
Providing training and support to youth and adults with disabilities referred by the Division of Rehabilitation Services and other partnering organizations
Conducting job readiness, soft skills and skill building workshops
Assisting persons served to prepare resumes, cover letters, and apply to jobs
Assisting with job preparation activities including conducting and coordinating mock interviews, job trials, functional skill assessments, and assuring that persons has appropriate work and interview attire
Supporting persons on job interviews and during onboarding procedures
Working with team to assist program participants with addressing employment barriers such as transportation, benefits counseling, and reasonable accommodations
Providing on-site and off-site job coaching to support person to reach independence within their work setting
Administer various curriculum within small group settings including but not limited to Employment Readiness Workshops, Thinking for Change at Frederick County Work Release Center (requires certification), Basic Computer, Work and Excel courses, and various 1-day workshops as developed by Workforce Development management team
Provide certified Benefits Counseling to persons enrolled in services
Support organization by:
Attending and representing agency at job fairs and other scheduled community events as designated by management team
Assisting employees with enrolling into existing services
Providing information regarding community resources that benefit employees and persons enrolled in services
Support the Workforce Development team by:
Completing accurate and timely progress notes electronically
Completing monthly notes and billing procedures timely and accurately
Maintaining efficiencies in supporting persons by adhering to funding guidelines and maximizing efforts to assist individuals to obtain employment
Attending team, department and organizational meetings
Attend and coordinate team meetings of persons served
Complete mandated trainings as well as trainings offered to build competencies to support programming efforts
Maintain flexibility in schedule and in duties to support other team members when assistance is needed
Overtime and flextime (including evening and weekend hours) may be needed
Maintaining positivity and encouragement
Other duties as assigned by Workforce Development Manager
