MAJOR FUNCTIONS
This is routine manual labor duties of an unskilled nature. Work is usually performed under close supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Mixes and assists in pouring and finishing concrete. Helps build forms.
Loads and unloads equipment, supplies, tools and materials.
Operates light equipment such as lawn mowers, edgers, weed eaters, etc. Mows and trims grass.
Removes and replaces sod, sprinkler heads. Digs trenches, removes concrete, trims and prunes trees and shrubbery. Fertilizers and sprays herbicides.
Does other general manual labor work. Picks up trash.
May perform custodial duties such as cleaning windows, bathrooms, dusting, emptying trash cans, etc.
Performs related work as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of the tools and equipment used in manual labor work.
Ability to understand and carry out simple oral instructions.
Sufficient physical strength to perform heavy manual labor work.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) year experience in manual labor maintenance.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Must have a valid Florida Driver's License.
A comparable amount of training or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
