The Delivery Services line of business has a vision to bring users their library, on demand. Like Amazon, Netflix, Venmo, and Google – library users expect services intuitively and conveniently, wherever they're at – on demand. The Delivery Services strategy aims to provide intuitive discovery, smart fulfillment, and a unified user account – all backed by access to a massive inventory – WorldCat and the central index.
The Delivery Services Product Manager is an exciting, fast-paced role responsible for executing the Delivery Services strategy with rapid ideation, innovative business cases, and constant collaboration with end users. You will own execution of large, complex projects, ensuring the library on demand vision propagates to all aspects of the product development team. Put simply, you own defining product strategies that surprise and delight OCLC member libraries.
Following on collaboration with end users and libraries, this role initiates conversations with critical stakeholders such as community leaders, product marketing, sales, development, and UX/UI – you're comfortable describing new ideas through the lens of your users. You have a keen product sense, a discerning eye, and high expectations for what quality solutions look like.
You define what is valuable to member libraries and why.
The Product Manager is responsible for the following deliverables: Produces product strategy, roadmaps, annual product plans, business cases, and monthly product reviews, launch plans, white papers, product presentations, market messaging, event support, competitive write-ups, user personas, and high-level requirements.
You connect corporate and line of business initiatives to product initiatives.
The Product Manager contributes to the following deliverables: Portfolio business plans, line of business strategies, portfolio roadmaps, metrics, and operational plans; portfolio progress plans and reviews; user requirements.
