Responsible for providing support to all staff relating to information services and maintaining the network, e-mail, security, hardware, and software for all IT equipment within the organization. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: · Participates in workflow assessments to develop efficient and accurate documentation of IT processes · Participates in professional development activities to keep current with healthcare trends, compliance and practices · Supports the Management team in preparing and executing IT related projects · Keeps an open line of professional communication with assigned staff and providers regarding patient needs
Other · Follows all applicable department and practice policies and procedures · Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations · Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality guidelines established by the practice · Maintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions · Attends all regular meetings · Performs all other tasks and projects assigned by the Manager or Physicians · Maintains compliance with continuing educational requirements to maintain current certifications, licensure, etc..
Typical Physical Demands Position requires full range of body motion as well as manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Position Involves sitting, standing and walking. Employee will occasionally be asked to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds. Normal visual acuity and hearing are required. The employee must be able to talk on the phone, hear and listen and be understood by the majority of the public. Employee will work under stressful conditions, and work irregular hours.
