Rosemount™ Measurement & Analytical, a businessunit of Emerson Automation Solutions, is currently seeking a Shipping andReceiving Associate to work at our Service Center in Gonzales, LA.

The Shipping & Receiving/Utility employeeswithin the Service Center play a critical role in managing the flow of productin and out of the shop, monitoring inventory levels, and engaging withcustomers on the status of their orders. Timely and accurate processing ofparts directly impacts the service center's ability to meet delivery commitmentsto our customers, thus, the ideal candidate will have several criticalqualities: excellent attention to detail; an innate sense of urgency; enjoys warehouseoperations; and thrives in an environment with shifting priorities.
Description
Responsibilities
The Shipping & Receiving Associate performs tasks related to shipping, receiving,and/or teardown of the products and inventory control. This position may performother tasks based on site and customer needs: including cross training intoother roles. All employees are expected and encouraged to improve their workprocesses.
Work with and identify parts andproducts by description and number
Assist shop technicians withlocating and retrieving parts
Read Purchase Orders and identifycustomer or vendor requirements for shipping and receiving
Knowledge of inventory control:Parts needed, quantity usage, order parts for inventory
Pull stock parts from inventoryand relieves from inventory both physically and on the computer
Type Bill of Lading and otherforms used to ship materials
Responsible for personal safetyand those around them
Maintain excellent housekeepingin all shop areas by sweeping and emptying all garbage cans and dumpsters,cleans company vehicles
Participation and involvement inSafety, Quality and Activity Committees
May require driving company truckto pick up and deliver products
Manages order administration(Sales Order entry, Repair Approvals and coordinating Repair purchase orders,managing customer purchase orders, order status monitoring, generation ofinvoices)
Manages Delivery Metrics and meets customer requirements by using appropriate lead time tools,administering to terms and conditions
Communicates professionally andeffectively via telephone, e-mail and/or other standard methods
Initiates discussions withcustomers to meet or exceed expectations of timeliness and quality
Resolves problems pertaining toorder administration, completion and post order activities by effectivelyutilizing resources (reports, tools, subject matter experts)
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
HighSchool Diploma or GED
Knowledgeof Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Oracleexperience is a plus
Abilityto use various weigh scales, postage meters and other related equipment
Musthave a valid driver's license to operate company trucks
Experienceoperating tow motor, pallet jacks, and cranes
Experiencewith air tools and hand tools
DOTcertification is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Shopenvironment including manual dexterity work, standing for extended periods andrepeated lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
