Project Manager (Finance)
The Department of Preventive Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC seeks a Project Manager to coordinate a complex program evaluation of opioid use reduction programs in American Indian communities throughout California. The position involves coordinating data collection activities with health clinics and community-based organizations, conducting surveys, focus groups, and individual qualitative interviews, developing evaluation tools, coordinating communications with the IRB, managing and analyzing data, writing reports, and various administrative duties. The position requires travel to rural American Indian communities throughout California (approximately 20% of time).
The Project Manager will work closely with investigators, taking a leadership role in organizing all aspects of the evaluation project. Responsibilities include:
Excellent communication, editing and scientific writing skills are required, as is the ability to work well with diverse populations. Other important qualifications include organizational ability, problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple projects. MPH or other advanced degree is required. Professional experience in a research environment and with evaluation projects is a plus.
