Primary Purpose: Responsible for implementing and supporting designated software applications in accordance with departmental standards and procedures. Work with users to apply system functionality to production practices. Develops reports to meet users' requirements. Develops operational procedures and test software.
Knowledge and Skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Years of Experience: Two or more years experience with computer applications (programming, analysis, or end user with demonstrated understanding of application) in a PC or mainframe environment preferred.
Required SKills and Knowledge: Strong application orientation and organizational skills are required. Must have specific knowledge of data collection procedures and data management. Must have ability to interpret application specifications for functional use. Ability to write, develop, and document operational procedures, and test software release. Functional knowledge of healthcare including clinical, financial or operations preferred. Must have strong customer service skill and serve as liaison to the users and management. Must be able to work in a changing environment. Must have excellent communication skills -- oral and written -- and demonstration of effectively working within a team.
