San Francisco office of an AmLaw firm seeks lawyer with 3-6 years of privacy and cybersecurity law firm experience. The candidate should preferably have experience should include advisory (preparing privacy policies, reviewing online terms and conditions, researching technology law issues), transactional (drafting and negotiating technology agreements and vendor contracts), and/or crisis management (responding to a data security incident or a government inquiry from the Federal Trade Commission or State Attorneys General). Experience evaluating impact of privacy laws (HIPAA, GLBA, COPPA, GDPR, etc), regulatory guidance, and enforcement actions, and other related guidelines on product or service features is preferred. On-going active interest in privacy and cybersecurity work is required. Must be admitted to and a member in good standing of the California State Bar. CIPP or other relevant industry certification or specialization is preferred.
