Sr. Program Manager (Engineering)

ZYGO Extreme Precision Optics (EPO) Group is seeking a skilled Senior Program Manager who thrives in an environment of complexity and excels at connecting planning to execution.
The Sr. Program Manager will drive the execution and delivery of a high profile, fast-paced, technologically challenging development program to further enable the growing EUV market. The program will entail designing, building, testing, qualifying, and refining key metrology and manufacturing technology and equipment to achieve sub-nanometer precision optics, thereby enabling customer success.
Basic Duties and Responsibilities:
•Lead and coordinate execution on a strategically significant technology development effort, enabling customer success by delivering critical components on-time and on budget
•Assist in recruiting, hiring and building a world-class team of optical engineering, metrology and fabrication experts
•Oversee and maintain realistic project schedule and keep team on target
•Maintain team leadership engagement and alignment to key program objectives
•Drive key decisions and spearhead evolving priorities
•Lead customer milestone reporting and earned value management for revenue recognition
•Ensure industrialization of technology, resources, documentation, facility and equipment necessary to transition program from development to long-term production of sub-nanometer precision optical components and sub-assemblies
B.S., M.S. or PhD in Engineering, Physics or related fields
10+ years of experience delivering complex program deliverables on time, under budget and meeting technical objectives.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Strong product and process development experience in a high-tech environment
•Experience in program management and execution of successful significant capital projects
•Expert in Excel and Project
•Experience with modern ERP systems preferred
•Program Management Certification preferred
•Ability to work in a fast, efficient environment with cross-functional teams
•Demonstrated ability to manage through influence while fostering a healthy yet driven work culture
•Comfortable working with, presenting to, and facilitating decisions among senior leaders and executives
•Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage a team of engineers, technologists, and manufacturing staff
•Proven multitasking skills and the ability to work under extreme pressure
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Demonstrate a high level of ethical behavior in exercising judgment and discretion in matters of significance
