Patient Services Aide (Temporary, Part-Time) - University Hospital (1372) (Healthcare)

We are seeking a Patient Services Aide: - Transport stable patients to and from various nursing units and therapy or laboratory areas - May assist unit staff with transporting patients who need to be monitored - Maintain a positive and professional demeanor - Transport equipment throughout the hospital - Practice all basic hospital safety policies Education: Minimum – High school graduate or equivalent Work Experience: Preferred – Relevant patient care experience in a healthcare environment Licenses and Certifications: Minimum – CPR certification or the ability to receive certification within 60 days of hire. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: - Ability to work and communicate effectively (using both written and oral communication with a variety of individuals that includes hospital staff, nurses, physicians, patients, and their families. - Displays efficient time management skills. - Ability to develop a working knowledge of computerized Transport Tracking system. - Ability to stand and walk long distances frequently throughout work shift. Physical Requirements: Heavy: Ability to lift up to 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds. W ork Schedule: This is a part-time, temporary position scheduled to work 8 hours per week. This position will work every other weekend either 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The ability to pick up shifts during the week is possible. Hours may vary based on the needs of department.
