CT Imaging Technologist - Casual (Finance)
Perform all CT exams and procedures according to established protocols to provide quality images and patient care in a timely manner.
Obtain patient history, answer questions, and provide the patient with information about the exam and/or procedure so they are comfortable and thoroughly understand it.
Work with the radiologists, referring clinics and/or patients to ensure the appropriate exams, films and medical records are correct and prepared for the exam.
Ensure all necessary paperwork is accurate and complete for the radiologist, referring clinic and the patient's medical records.
Incorporate company values into daily interactions with internal and external customers.
Other duties may include, but are not limited to, training new employees, stocking and/or ordering department supplies and assisting in other departments.

HIPAA REQUIREMENTS:
Responsible and accountable for protecting the privacy and confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI) and Electronic Protected Health Information (EPHI) pertaining to patients and employees.
EDUCATION:
RT (R) (CT) required.
EXPERIENCE:
3-6 months general x-ray experience preferred.
6-12 months CT experience preferred.
IV and power contrast injector experience preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
RT (R)(CT) registration required.
CPR certification required within 6 months of hire.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Knowledge of basic radiologic principles, procedures, methods and techniques required.
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology required.
Excellent patient care, problem solving, organizational, communication and technical skills required.
Ability to work independently, in a team, and with all levels of the organization required.
Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative required.
Demonstrate knowledge of safety-related work behaviors to ensure a safe work environment.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Must be competent in using a computer keyboard, email, Imagecast and PACS or similar applications.

EQUIPMENT
Computer, CT equipment, power contrast injector, roloscope and hoyer lift equipment may be used on a daily basis.
Environmental/working conditions:
High-Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood products, bodily fluids and/or hazardous materials common to a radiology setting.
High-Potential exposure to ionizing radiation exams rooms and/or involved in the use of ionizing radiation common to a radiology setting.
TRAVEL:
May require local travel.
Valid Minnesota driver's license in good standing required.
