Performance Support Manager-PERSUPPMGR (Administrative)



SUMMARY: 

​​The Performance Support Manager will provide oversight and governance for the operational support and project analytics processes across their assigned Engineering Regions and/or National Lines of Business via the centralized Performance Support Organization. These processes will include project setup, Work in Progress (WIP) tracking, Accounts Receivable tracking, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) development and tracking, resource allocation and sharing, work management processes and other performance support functions as assigned by the Director – Performance Support.​ 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

List the job's essential or most important functions and responsibilities. Include all important aspects of the job – whether performed daily, weekly, monthly, or annually; and any that occur at irregular intervals. 

 

 ​Provide direct supervision and oversight for the regional project analytics and business analytics teams.​ 

 ​Manage/develop models for reporting operational KPIs and information flow into weekly/monthly/quarterly performance reports including utilization, project cost analysis, customer specific KPIs, etc.​ 

 ​Support regional project analytics coordinators' development of intel for monthly leadership reports and to aid understanding and articulation of business drivers and performance.​ 

 ​Lead the analysis of current and past trends in KPIs including all areas of revenue, direct costs, expenses, and capital expenditures for the assigned regions.​ 

 ​Oversee and manage the development of region budgeting, financial forecasting, operational planning, and modeling tools.​ 

 ​Develop and maintain processes that enable interaction with corporate systems and applications​ 

 Develop and maintain effective relationships with all internal customers (e.g., RVPs, BMs, RBSMs, RTCs, FP&A, etc.) ensuring timely communication and responsiveness. 

 ​Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand return on investment in current and new lines of business, projects and offices including development of financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and support management team, directors and VP with in-depth analysis of regional operations.​ 

 ​Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes including Unit Bid requests, total lease costs, cost per metrics (internal and external).​ 

 Perform other duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  

 

​​Required​ High school degree or GED. 

 

​​Required​ Associates degree (AA or equivalent from two-year college or technical school). 

 

​​Preferred​ a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in ​Accounting, Business Administration, or Engineering​. 

 

Experience: 

 

​​3-5 ​ Year(s) Experience in ​business analytics and/or project management and/or project controls.​ 

 

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:  

​​PMP certification preferred​ 

 

ON-THE-JOB TRAINING:  

​​Training in Accounting and Project Management systems used within Pike will be required.  The time requirement for training will vary.​ 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  

 

A.​Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.​ 

B.​Ability to write reports, Business correspondence, and procedure manuals.​ 

C.​Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.​ 

 

 MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: 

 

A.​Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret spread sheets.​ 

B.​Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.​ 

C.​Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.​ 

 

REASONING ABILITY:  

 

A.​Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.​ 

B.​Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.​
