Southwest Power Pool (SPP) is seeking a strategic, knowledgeable, and highly experienced Technical Director, Market Policy & Operations to provide senior-level guidance and leadership on market operations policy. This position is a critical advisor to the Vice President, Markets and plays a central role in shaping the future of market operations across the SPP footprint.
About the Role
The Technical Director will lead the coordination and development of market operational policies in alignment with SPP's goals, governing documents, and the evolving national regulatory and industry landscape. This individual will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across internal and external stakeholder groups and represent SPP in high-level forums involving NERC, Regional Entities, members, and stakeholders. With deep knowledge of SPP's history, stakeholder culture, and regulatory framework, this role ensures that operational market policies are not only effective but also compliant and forward-thinking.
