Director, Communication (Education)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Communication will be responsible for all internal and external communications at SourceAmerica. The primary goals and responsibilities for this role are to develop a strong external communication strategy for SourceAmerica including public relations and social media on an ongoing basis, develop a strong internal communication strategy which includes coordinated and compelling communication campaigns on the strategic direction for the organization, and coordinating communication campaigns that are synchronized across the organization.
The strategy for the external communications will be to create an external messaging plan and produce or manage all external messaging, leverage social media, and communicating with formal press channels for public relation needs and all outreach to press and media on SourceAmerica's behalf. The Director, Communication will also prepare key members of the executive team for media interviews as needed. The management of social media will include creating content and managing stories promoting SourceAmerica on the organization's website and leveraging third parties to increase online presence. This position will also be responsible for Internal organizational-based messages and internal strategic communications.
This role will oversee a team of people and will work closely and cross functionally, with Marketing and Human Resources. The Director, Communication will communicate regularly with senior leadership and the C-level suite, as well as some interaction with the Board of Directors.
