Mechanical Integrity Engineer (Finance)

Intertek's Industry Services team provides technical solutions that help customers maximize operational efficiency, ensure asset reliability, improve quality, and minimize safety risks. Some of our many service areas include inspection, non-destructive and materials testing, technical training, engineering, surveying, QA/QC, and supplier auditing.
We are seeking a Mechanical Integrity Engineer to work for the Mechanical Integrity Group in Broussard, Louisiana. The successful candidate will be expected to manage Mechanical Integrity Projects for different clients (mainly oil companies), including interfacing with clients in developing new programs, preparing cost estimates, scheduling inspections, tracking costs and progress, providing recommendations to correct mechanical integrity anomalies, tracking resolution of anomalies, etc.
Duties:
· Evaluate Non-Destructive Testing (NDE) data gathered on upstream process pressure vessels, piping, and tanks in accordance with the appropriate codes and regulations.
· Report results of the analyses in accordance with established procedures under the direction of the Engineering Manager.
Qualifications
Required:
· Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
· Self-motivated and self-directed.
· Strong technical, communication, and project management skills.
· Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Access and Excel.
· Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
· Dependable.
· Must have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
· Must be a well-organized individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent Interpersonal skills and the ability to solve problems amongst numerous groups/personnel.
· Valid Driver's License.
· Ability to pass physical exam.
Preferred:
· Experience in inspection of pressure vessels and pressure piping.
· 2-5 years of facility engineering or mechanical integrity experience in an offshore environment.
· 5+ years of offshore inspection experience or equivalent inspection experience.
· API 510, 570, 653.
