Directly supports Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and other applicable environmental regulatory program compliance to include all company Air Quality, Groundwater, Storm water, and Waste Water permitted programs.
Prepares and submits required DEQ/EPA reports, to include hazardous waste reports, discharge monitoring reports, air emissions, water quality, and Community Right to Know (CR2K).
Participates in environmental program audits and inspections, both internal and external.
Conducts inspections of hazardous material storage areas, and hazardous waste areas.
Maintains and updates as necessary, Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasures (SPCC) and Integrated Contingency Plans (ICP) plans. Directs and overseas applicable emergency response drills involving environmental safety emergency response plans.
Supervises Hazardous Waste operations and record keeping activities; verifies process compliance.
Administers and maintains the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)/Global Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Program for hazardous materials used by the company.
Provides direct consult to employees and management on environmental topics; provides support to Training Department in development of training material.
Has the ability to perform environmental, industrial hygiene and analytical testing of work areas and environmental processes.
Drafts environmental bulletins and alerts.
Assists in hazardous waste stream reduction efforts and proactive recycling plans.
Acts as subject matter expert in the development and maintenance of environmental programs.
Act as project coordinator on environmental-related initiatives.
Conducts inspections of hazardous material storage areas, and hazardous waste areas.
Prepares cost benefit analysis and proposals for environmental projects and initiatives.
Will work with outside environmental engineering consultants, as necessary.

Supports the Safety Department with maintaining OSHA, and foreign equivalent, program compliance.
Provides technical advisement to the Training Department in development of health & safety training; may conduct training, as needed.
Participates in health & safety audits and inspections, both internal and external.
Provides regulatory insight into policy development, maintenance, and implementation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -
High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or certifications relative to HSE field is preferred.
Minimum 5 years experience in health, safety, and environmental compliance activities.
Minimum 3 years experience related to aviation service provider and maintenance repair organization activities.
Minimum 2 years experience as an OSHA competent trainer.
OSHA 30-HR Certification required.
HAZWOPER 40-HR Certification preferred.
Direct experience with environmental permitting in the state of Oregon required.
Experience with SMS (Safety Management Systems) preferred.
Experience in austere field environments preferred
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as assigned dependent on production needs
Ability to work in a shop environment or work outdoors locally or in remote locations as needed for customer support
