Post Award Administrator (Finance)
With minimal supervision, this individual troubleshoots and resolves problems and serves as a liaison with faculty members, others in the University community, and sponsoring agencies when necessary. This position works closely with faculty members in management of awarded research projects to ensure funds are spent according to the approved budget and University and sponsor guidelines for expenses and purchases and provides training to faculty and others in the School as needed. Duties also include on-line SPAR processing to ensure accuracy for sponsor and effort certification compliance and appropriateness.
This position will maintain databases and provide reports as needed. This position will also perform some pre-award tasks as they relate to post-award functions. This position requires a well-organized individual who can multi-task, and who has excellent oral and written communication skills. Incumbent must have a Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or a related field and 2 years of professional experience in the related field.
BS or BA degree in business, accounting, finance or a related field and 2 years of professional experience. Or Associates Degree (or equivalent) with three years grant administration experience. Experience in using department manager, spreadsheets and SPAR reports is preferred.
