Mental Health Shift Supervisor (Swing) - Youth Inpatient Unit (Personal Services)
PURPOSES:
To coordinate and monitor all shift activities. To make shift staffing and program assignments. To implement resident-client treatment plans under the supervision of the Program Manager. To assume major responsibility for ensuring a safe and structured treatment milieu. To serve as team leader/supervisor.
To improve the operations of KMHS in support of its stated mission. To provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree required. Psychology, social services, or a related field preferred; minimum of two-year experience working with clients with mental illness required.; valid Washington Drivers License and reliable, insured transportation required. Supervisory experience preferred.
PHYSICAL CONSIDERATIONS:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger or handle, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk or listen and lift up to 50 pounds. Peripheral vision is also required for this position.
A fair degree of flexibility and strength is required in this position due to the infrequent, yet essential, `take downs` on the unit.
