Summary/Objective: Develop and modify processes to manufacture innovative new technology products introduced to Rogers from the Innovation Center, acquisitions, or other sources. Ensure successful commercialization and launch of new products to meet customer requirements and Rogers' business objectives. Manage and execute all aspects of launch, including robust process engineering, factory design and layout, selection and installation of capital equipment, internal and external product qualifications, and handover to manufacturing. Essential Functions:
Develop designs of manufacturing processes for new products, including process flow, factory layout, workflow simulation, staffing needs, and equipment selection. Include consideration for EHS, Lean, quality, cost, and other criteria as needed. (25%)
Manage capital project planning and execution for new manufacturing processes, including introduction of new equipment technology to the company. (20%)
Prepare and lead internal and external qualifications to demonstrate key deliverables including suitability for customer requirements, manufacturability, product quality and yield. (20%)
Perform cost modeling analysis for new products and manufacturing implementations. (10%)
Develop documentation and procedures required for new product manufacturing, including work instructions and operator training. Set up ERP part number structures, BOMs, and routings for new products. (10%)
Develop supply chain plans for sourcing of raw materials for new products. (10%)/li>
Assist product development staff with (1) translation of customer requirements to manufacturing criteria and (2) consideration of internal and external manufacturing capabilities. (5%)

BS in mechanical, industrial, or chemical engineering, materials science, or related field.
10+ years of experience developing robust processes for new products in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent commercialization projects ranging in scale from prototyping to high volume mass production launch.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams including R&D specialists
Self-motivated, highly organized, high sense of urgency and accountability
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Proficiency with computer aided design tools for factory process development
Familiarity with a wide range of manufacturing technologies and equipment
Demonstrated problem-solving skills
Experience in Lean manufacturing environment
Ability to develop and execute complex project plans
Ability to identify and manage project, process, and product risks through FMEA and other tools.
Preferred Education and Experience:
MS degree in a science related field or MBA.
Experience specifying, purchasing, and installing manufacturing equipment
Experience as a quality engineer in a manufacturing environment
Experience in a product development/R&D environment
Experience in developing processes and scaling manufacturing for high precision electronic components
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
Lean Six Sigma certification
