Development Intern (Architecture)
Community Housing Partners is pleased to announce summer opportunities for Multifamily Development Interns to assist with daily development activities which result in successful completion of new affordable multifamily housing and the preservation of existing affordable multifamily housing projects. The MDI will work collaboratively with other Development staff as projects move through the Development process, while gaining experience in the field of multifamily housing development.
Tasks that the MDI will assist with on a daily basis will include
The successful intern candidate will be at least a 3rd year student or recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree in business, real-estate development, or other related field preferred, and should be able to demonstrate successful completion of appropriate related coursework. Must be able to successfully interact with internal/external customers and partners either in-person or by phone. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office in order to interpret and input numbers in complex budget spreadsheets, proof legal documents, and communicate successfully via email.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in order to be able to travel and meet with property staff, internal/external customers and stakeholders. Hours may vary, but customarily will be from 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday, with a one-hour break for lunch.
This exciting summer opportunity is a paid internship. In addition, the Multifamily Development Intern will be eligible for paid sick leave and will receive an automatic contribution into the company retirement plan.
