Pediatric Cardiologist -Advanced Noninvasive Imaging Specialist (Finance)



Nemours Children's Health, in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist - Advanced Noninvasive Imaging Specialist to join our growing team. This role is designed for a versatile cardiologist with expertise in advanced imaging, including echocardiography and/or cardiac MRI/CT, to support the continued growth of our cardiac imaging program. You will have the opportunity to practice at one of the Southeast's premier children's hospitals, serving a diverse patient population with complex congenital and acquired heart conditions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat congenital and acquired heart conditions in fetuses, infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Perform and interpret noninvasive imaging studies, including advanced echocardiography (transthoracic, transesophageal, 3D, fetal echo, strain imaging) and/or advanced cardiac MRI and CT.
  • Provide collaborative imaging support for surgical and interventional planning, complex congenital heart disease, and longitudinal patient care.
  • Coordinate care across specialties including cardiac surgery, maternal-fetal medicine, electrophysiology, and advanced imaging.
  • Support the continued growth and innovation of the Nemours Cardiac Center at Wolfson Children's Hospital, including MRI/CT expansion and integration of advanced imaging technologies.
  • Engage in teaching and mentorship of fellows, residents, and medical students; opportunities for clinical research are available.
Qualifications
  • MD, DO, or international equivalent (MBBS, MBChB, etc.) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology.
  • Additional fellowship training or demonstrated expertise in advanced noninvasive imaging (echocardiography and/or cardiac MRI/CT).
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) or equivalent.
  • Eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.
  • Experience with advanced echocardiographic modalities and/or level II/III training in cardiac MRI/CT.
