Sanitation Technician Night Shift (Government)

Major Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure production equipment and surrounding areas are clean and sanitary before next day production.
  • Perform post-cleaning self-inspections.
  • Ensure sanitation equipment is in good operating condition.
  • Ensure departmental paperwork is filled out completely and accurately.
  • Participate in departmental training program.
  • Possess knowledge of safe chemical use, handling and storage.
  • Operate forklift, genie boom and/or other equipment.
  • Follow all plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Report all unsafe acts or conditions to Sanitation Supervisor immediately.
  • Follow and ensure all employees follow all Good Manufacturing Practices. 
  • All other duties as required.

Requirements: 

  • Manufacturing sanitation experience (1 yr. minimum)
  • Able to read and understand Safety Data Sheets
  • Knowledge of chemical use and handling
  • Able to become LO/TO authorized user
  • Ability to operate forklift and/or aerial lifts
  • Possess Effective Communication Skills
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE's)
  • Maintain excellent attendance record
  • Reading/Comprehension Abilities
  • Ability to Identify Problems and Respond Accordingly
  • Possess basic math skills

Physical Requirements:

Walking/standing for majority of shift

Able to bend, squat, climb, push and pull

Able to work within plant environment, heat and cold, wet environment

Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. – if an accommodation is necessary please notify Human Resources in advance of interview
