Learning and Development Manager (Agile Certification Preferred) (Information Technology)
Our Talent Manager is responsible for designing and managing the overall execution of the Learning and Development strategy for Enterprise Solution Delivery (ESD). Guardian has established an Enterprise Solution Delivery (ESD) organization to drive measurable, consistent, predictable portfolio delivery to accelerate and optimize value-add solutions for Guardian's customers. In order to drive these outcomes, Guardian is seeking a multidimensional leader experienced with the following: Talent assessment and development, designing e-learning and other training programs aligned to our delivery methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Agile, Waterfall and the next big thing), practical application and tools, role specific skills, competencies and techniques for success.
You Will
- Lead and manage a team of L&D Specialists
- Create and execute learning strategies and programs that enable the organization to deliver quality, timely and effective solutions aligned with business strategy and objectives.
- Evaluate individual and organizational development needs through skill and proficiency assessments across job-relevant competencies
- Implement various learning methods (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training)
- Design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings required to raise the standard of performance of the individual employee and solution teams.
- Assess the success of training plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities
- Partner with Workforce Leaders to identify training opportunities, develop their team members and support career pathing
- Provide innovative and forward-thinking options for developing talent and delivering learning content.
- Build and maintain a knowledge repository of job aids, methodology best practices, tool guides, etc
- Track budgets and negotiate L&D vendor contracts as needed
Your Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years organizing, developing, and delivering structured training programs
- A current SAFe Agilist (SA) certification and/or Program Consultant (SPC)
- Experience creating, administering, and evaluating skill and proficiency assessments
- Experience designing and developing learning content for virtual and in person training.
- Proficient in Articulate 360, Adobe or instructional design software.
- Skill in working within a Learning Management System to design content & drive implementation.
- An ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and engage them collaboratively to analyse, develop and design training.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and a curiosity to engage in a variety of projects as opportunity arises.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Proficiency using Confluence, JIRA, Clarity, SharePoint, and other software for project and task management.
- Experience in software development, business analysis, program management, or project management is preferred but not required.
Your Location
This position can be located in any of our Guardian offices in the continental United States or can be remote/work from home
Travel
Travel to Guardian Office Location(s) as needed.
