Control Segment Deputy, #5017 (Project Management)
This position is in support of our GPS Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team has an immediate need for a Control Segment Deputy. This individual will be a Senior Systems Engineer with experience in Department of Defense (DoD) and GPS programs. The GPS SE&I Team provides specialized engineering, analysis, operations support, and subject matter expertise to the United States Space Force (USSF) and other GPS users. The team also provides systems engineering and analysis services to include system development, enterprise and system architecture, requirements development, enterprise integration, acquisition, testing, operations and sustainment support for existing and new capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Coordinating Control Segment integration requirements for all GPS systems. This includes the legacy ground system known as Architecture Evolution Plan (AEP), and the modernized ground systems known as Launch & Checkout Capability (LCC), and Next Generation Operational Control System (OCX)Utilizing systems engineering best practices to identify, document and manage requirements from government specifications and interface control documentsInteracting with contractor and government teams to ensure that all system and interface requirements are consistent and valid across the GPS EnterpriseCreating systems engineering documents, including but not limited to the System Engineering Master Plan, System or Segment Design Documents, and Integrated Master Schedules, Interface Control Documents, and requirements traceability matricesDefining, capturing, and maintaining the technical, schedule, and cost risks throughout the system lifecycle and developing risk mitigation courses of action and assessing impacts of risks and proposed changesCollaborating with prime contractors, other support contractors, government civilians, and members of the Department of Defense (DoD)
