The Intl MDS plays a key role in the merchandising /sales engine at Ingram Micro. The Intl MDS has many responsibilities specific to a particular brand/category, but is an employee of Ingram Micro.
Approximately 60% of the time is spent growing category revenue / profit, maximizing margin, negotiate pricing, and evaluating new product opportunities. Approximately 40% of the time is spent formulating a marketing plan to promote / sell product.
The Intl MDS provides first-level resolution to questions and issues raised by the sales reps and managers, and works with them to identify and close vendor business opportunities.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or business related field preferred.
Experience: 2 years of product/account management experience, sales, merchandising and product purchasing skills Sales or marketing experience specifically with Vendor solutions (preferred)
Must have previous work experience preparing training/marketing material for product line Solid negotiation and customer service skills
Have the ability to develop marketing strategies have managed inventory control Advanced PC skills of Microsoft Office are required (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English Strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to multi-task, work independently and on tight deadlines and perform well under pressure
Must be able to work well in teams
Technical aptitude is a must Must be able to work extended hours as needed.
