Adventure Trip Leader (Education)



Camp Chingachgook, based on spectacular Lake George in Adirondack Park, NY, is seeking Adventure Trip Leaders and Interns to join their team and explore the Northeastern United States and Southeastern Canada for the 2020 season!

A seasonal Adventure Trip Leader is committed to developing responsible wilderness leadership, facilitating interpersonal connections and encouraging personal growth of each participant. This position requires the ability to work independently and to prioritize multiple duties. Strong human relations, communication, and logistical skills are essential.

2020 season starts June – August with opportunities to extend employment pre and post season.

REQUIREMENTS:

Adventure Trip Intern-

  • Minimum age of 18
  • This position requires the ability to work independently and to prioritize multiple duties.
  • Certification training will be available at camp before position start date.

Adventure Trip Leader-

  • Minimum age of 21.
  • Preferred qualifications include a valid driver's license.
  • This position requires the ability to work independently and to prioritize multiple duties.
  • Certification training will be available at camp before position start date.

Adventure Trip Logistic Coordinator-

  • Minimum age of 18, preferred over 21.
  • Preferred qualifications include a valid driver's license.
  • This position requires the ability to work independently and to prioritize multiple duties.
  • Comfortable with being an emergency responder.
  • Certification training will be available at camp before position start date.

Experience

Required
  • 1 - 3 years: Prior camping experience.
  • 1 - 3 years: Working with teens and facilitating groups.
  • 1 - 3 years: Previous experience leading or teaching in the outdoors.
