Inventory Cycle Counter (Finance)



The Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to align with reported inventory. Supports daily, weekly, and monthly inventory cycle counts. Compiles and maintains physical and electronic records of type, quantity, and value of on-hand inventories. Verifies electronic data against physical counts and adjusts errors in count or computation.

This is a second shift position.

Essential Functions

Perform cycle counts as required. Ensure ongoing inventory accuracy. Ensure accuracy of data in system including location, quantity on hand, etc. Ensures that items are stored in an organized manner to prevent damage as well as allow for easy picking access. Correct inaccuracies and research root cause. Investigate, resolve, and prevent inventory discrepancies by reviewing transaction history in the WMS (Warehouse Management System). Maintain daily inventory reconciliation reports. Required to cross train in the Materials office to fill in for absences. Back up for product audits and the Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Analysist. Perform audit function as needed to support direction of the Quality team. Maintain product identification, location, and lot code accuracy. Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand. Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products. Report damaged storage media, ie: racking, bins, cartons, shelving, or any issue that could lead to either a safety or inventory count or damage. Regular and reliable attendance.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee could be exposed to high forklift traffic and is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The associate may occasionally be required to lift 51 pounds, anything greater than 51 pounds requires assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
This job is performed in a busy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic. Warehouses are subject to seasonal temperatures. Steel-toed shoes and safety vests are required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full Time, Non-Exempt. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required. Able to work weekends and potentially holidays to support Physical Inventory efforts when scheduled.

Travel
Travel is required between locations to support other TVS operations with inventory counts and reconciliation.

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required Certified or ability to operate multiple forklifts (sit down, stand up, etc.) 2+ years of experience in a high-volume warehouse. Prior experience working in a warehouse and/or working in a JIT (Just-In-Time Inventory) environment is preferred. Experience with a WMS system required; JD Edwards or SAP experience preferred. Strong computer skills: MS Office, Outlook Prior experience with RF technology Previous experience utilizing 6S Housekeeping and organization preferred.
