Organizational Talent Services (HR) Intern (Administrative)

If selected for the internship, you must be able to commit to the full 15 months and be enrolled at a university throughout the length of the internship. Must be able to work onsite at the Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI, throughout the school year and during breaks.

What You'll Do:

The Organizational Talent Services (HR) Intern will integrate their educational background with real-life applications in the workplace by working with the Talent Services Team to perform a variety of day-to-day administrative duties and activities along with assisting with a wide range of projects and tasks related to recruiting and onboarding.

Our Commitment To You:

  • Compensation: $17.41 - 19.49 per hour (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)

What's Needed For This Position:

  • Enrolled at a University or Technical College throughout the length of the internship, pursuing a degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development or similar field.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong listening and interpersonal abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, reporting, and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Word, and Outlook; comfortable using digital devices and learning new technologies.

What We'd Love To See:

Intern Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Support HR processes by accurately processing data for new hires, internal moves, and separations, and assisting with departmental reporting.
  • Assist HR Generalists with recruiting tasks such as background checks, reference checks, offer letters, and pre-screen questionnaires.
  • Help coordinate recruitment efforts for internship and high school teller programs, and serve as a backup for various administrative tasks and email queues.
  • Contribute to social media campaigns and represent Royal at job fairs and recruiting events to promote career opportunities.
  • Participate in onboarding by teaching portions of new hire orientation and supporting recruitment activities like sourcing and talent pool creation.

Work Schedule:

  • Working approximately 15-20 hours/week during the school year and 35-40 hours/week during the summer. Generally working variable hours between 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday based on class schedule.
  • Must be able to work onsite at the Royal Credit Union Corporate Center throughout the school year and during breaks.
  • This is a limited term, non-benefit eligible, position that will go from January 2026 - March 2027.
  • Must be able to commit to the 15 month internship.

Training:

  • Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging.
  • Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal's culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.
