Job Summary

Responsible for monitoring, maintenance, and ongoing operation of critical Microsoft and other related technical infrastructure and services for the corporation. Develop and demonstrate a depth of knowledge in specific areas of responsibility, with general knowledge of many other areas (e.g., Azure, SAN, VMware, etc.). Solve complex technical, infrastructure problems with minimal assistance; frequently assist others in problem resolution. Perform hardware/software upgrades and implementations; interfacing other IT teams and with vendors as needed (e.g., Broadcom, HPE, Infinidat, etc.). Contribute to team-planning activities. Adhere to the change management process

Minimum Qualifications

College Degree and Three (3) years of experience preferred or HS Diploma and Seven (7) years of experience. Excellent communications skills required. Ability to work as part of a team is required. High level of analytical skills required

Job Duties

  • Develop and furnish specialized technical expertise in more than one area. Serve as technologist support of several critical, complex technical environments. This responsibility requires ongoing skill enhancement and development through formal and informal education, industry & vendor sponsored events and trade publications. Also, develop and maintain communication with peers in our industry. Must be able to respond with critical technical expertise in a 24 x 7 support role with rotational on-call duties.
  • Participate in infrastructure and applications project teams in the design, implementation, and maintenance of technical solutions. This job's responsibility requires performing task as assigned in line with project scheduling and planning as well as good communication skills. Must perform tasks in support of project deliverables as well as target dates on very large projects. Derive satisfaction in helping others succeed.
  • Provide problem solving skills necessary to resolve issues and suggest new approaches to solutions. Demonstrate the ability to be resourceful, innovative and reliable. Proactively engage in problem prevention, detection, investigation, analysis, and resolution. Perform duties under frequently demanding and tense circumstances.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Experience in support of Microsoft resources and solutions including Windows Server OS, services and Azure technologies.

• Knowledge of Networking, Databases, Software, and Servers on-premises and/or in the Cloud.

• Experience understanding monitor on premises and/or cloud-based resources for integrity and availability.

• Troubleshoot operational issues, escalate as appropriate and offer solutions.

• Collaborate with application development, network/security teams to ensure seamless integration within the production environment, including validation planning, validation testing coordination, and reporting production readiness for deployment.

• Develop, document, and understand internal IT processes and procedures.

• Ensure timely resolution of issues, responsible for communicating with all impacted parties the status and resolution of all issues.

• Communicate with customers and notify them of impending changes or agreed outages.

• Keep current on new technologies and advancements in current technologies.

• Assists with special projects or other duties as assigned.
