PPG is seeking CV's of Talented Ph.D. Research and Development Professionals to work in one of core businesses at various R&D facilities located in the Pittsburgh, PA region.
Successful candidates will be involved with planning, directing, coordinating, and conducting the experimental work necessary to meet project goals and objectives in developing new products for the marketplace or providing technical support for a commercialized product in a timely and cost-effective manner. In addition, the selected individuals will solve problems through the application of knowledge of appropriate scientific, experimental, and statistical methods. Incumbents may initiate and recommend major projects, as well as conceive and develop theories through application of advanced specialized scientific knowledge.

Experience and Education
A Ph.D. with entry-level industrial experience in a relevant scientific field is a plus. Common fields are Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, etc.
Functional and Technical Skills
Candidates must be able to search and interpret literature as well as be cognizant of competitor technology and intellectual property. A proven ability to lead job specific aspects of multiple projects and project teams, including directly supervising work of other associates, is also necessary.
