Administrative Operations Assistant (Simulation Center) - University Hospital (1741) (Administrative)

We are seeking an Administrative Operations Assistant to: - Oversee the Simulation Center flow for learners (i.e. greeting/assisting learners, making sure they are signing in, getting to the right room, etc.). - Coordinate the Simulation team and client meetings. - Order clinical supplies - Clerical duties such as ordering supplies, filing, etc. Education: Minimum - High School diploma or equivalent. Preferred - Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field. Work Experience: Minimum – One (1) year of experience in an administrative support role. Preferred – Three (3) years of experience in an administrative support function. Previous experience in a health care setting. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Excellent computer skills. Experience with word processing, database and spreadsheet software programs. - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, department administrative staff, interdepartmental contacts and the general public. - Ability to plan and organize the workflow in a busy office/unit environment and be self-directed and work with minimal supervision. - Ability to be flexible in response to changing demands. - Ability to handle a high volume of work under pressure. - Resourceful in problem solving, initiative and good judgment Physical Requirements: Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met. Work Schedule: 100% FTE, 40 hours per week. Scheduled shifts are 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
