Provider Relations Consultant
Oversees all provider outreach activities to ensure that education for providers and resolution of concerns are delivered in an accurate, timely, consistent, professional and courteous manner while maintaining provider satisfaction.
Researches, analyzes and recommends resolution for contractual disputes, non-routine claims issues, billing questions through interaction with hospitals and providers.
Builds relationships with providers, hospitals and administrative staff to establish effective communication methods.
Coordinates communication process on issues such as administrative and medical policy, reimbursement, and provider utilization patterns.
Educates providers and presents Plan perspective on payment policies and Anthem initiatives.
Plan, prepare, and present programs, materials and publications to participating providers.
Organize and prepare materials and represent Plan at meetings.
Coordinates and conducts provider training.
Introduce and mainstream new products, benefit designs and networks for providers.
Supports the Network Contracting area in various aspects of administration for new and existing provider contracts.
Supports Payment Innovation team in implementation and administration of value-based provider payment arrangements.
Coordinates and collaborates with internal and external constituents to maximize provider engagement in Enhanced Personal Health Care Program.
Requires a BA/BS degree; 3 years of related experience (provider relations, network management, customer service, sales negotiation); prior negotiation experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
