RN - Oncology Lead - Chemotherapy Services - 90% FTE, Day - University Hospital (3929) (Healthcare)

We are seeking a RN Oncology Lead to: · Serve as the team lead over other RN staff within an Oncology setting · Coordinate, assign and guide the work activities of other RN staff · Works collaboratively as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide therapeutic patient and family centered care. · Monitors work schedules, maintain department scheduling guidelines, lead nursing practice oversight, and train and mentor new staff. Education: Minimum – Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Preferred – Work Experience: Minimum - Two (2) years relevant oncology, hematology/BMT, gynecology oncology, medical surgical clinical experience. Preferred - Three (3) years of RN experience Licenses and Certifications: Minimum – Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact. CPR/BLS Certification. Preferred - Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI), Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: - Knowledge and experience documenting patient care in an electronic medical record. - Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills - Ability to make knowledgeable clinical assessments and judgments - Ability to educate staff - Ability to provide counseling and emotional support with compassion and respect for the individual - Ability to provide support to the members of the care team (teamwork) - Must possess initiative and ability to work independently - Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical records Physical Requirements: Heavy: Ability to lift up to 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds. W ork Schedule: 90% FTE, Day. 8 hour shifts Monday through Friday. Hours may vary based on operational needs of department.
