Job Purpose

The Configuration Tech plays an important role in meeting the goals of our Implementation Department. They do this by following platform documentation and production defaults in order to properly apply customer-specific, order-specific, and hardware-specific software to network hardware. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology as well as a knack for diagnosing and resolving technical problems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Configure various network and digital signage equipment across a wide range of hardware to customer required specifications
  • Assemble network hardware from build documentation
  • Test network equipment to ensure 100% quality
  • Troubleshoot problems with network system configurations, including hardware and software
  • Ensure that customers receive the highest level of customer service
  • Work with Engineering department to develop and test new configuration templates
  • Work with Logistics and Project Coordinators to ensure scheduling and productivity goals are met
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines at all times

Working Conditions

  • Work is to be completed on site; no remote work offered for this position
  • Primary work area is in an indoor environment
  • Some work to be completed in non-temperature-controlled warehouse
  • Day shift
  • Weekend work possible for large projects

Job Requirements

  • 1 – 3 years networking or help-desk experience or technical training school
  • Hands-on experience with network and/or desktop hardware and peripherals
  • Experience with various operating systems and software, i.e., Microsoft Windows, MS Office, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow instruction and work within pre-established guidelines
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Experience with Cisco and Fortinet equipment preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time
  • Extensive use of hands and fingers for lots of typing, and extensive use of eyes for intense focus on a computer screen
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
